This policy covers the Amanah Freight platform at amanahfreight.com and the Amanah Driver mobile app. Amanah Freight is a load board for US trucking: brokers post freight, carriers bid on it, and drivers run the trip.
Accounts are created by an organisation, not by the public. A driver account is created from a carrier’s invite link; there is no open sign-up in the driver app.
Precise location. While you are running a load, the app shares your position with your carrier and with the broker on that load. It runs as a foreground service, which means Android shows a notification for the whole time it is on. The app does not hold background-location permission, so it cannot collect your position when no trip is active and the notification is not showing.
Photos you take. Bills of lading, proofs of delivery, breakdown reports and trailer-return evidence. These are attached to the specific load or trailer they document.
Account details. Your name, email address and phone number, and — where your carrier collects it — commercial driver’s licence details for verification.
A device identifier. A push notification token, so the app can tell you about an assignment or a document request.
Your location, documents and trip records are visible to the carrier you drive for, and to the broker on the specific load you are running. They are not visible to other carriers, other brokers, or other drivers. This is enforced by database access rules, not by policy alone.
Amanah staff can access records where necessary to operate the platform, investigate suspected fraud, or comply with a legal obligation.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising, and there are no advertising or analytics trackers in the driver app. We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes.
Some processing happens on infrastructure we operate, and a small number of named service providers act on our instructions only: Google (push notifications, maps and routing, and its Gemini AI service, which reads documents uploaded to the platform — such as bills of lading, proofs of delivery, rate confirmations and vehicle registrations — to extract their details), Resend (email delivery), and the FMCSA public registry (carrier authority lookups, which use company identifiers, not driver data).
Trip records, documents and their timestamps are retained for as long as they may be needed to resolve a dispute about the freight they document — including detention, damage and late-return claims — and for at least 24 months. Location traces are tied to the trip they belong to and are retained on the same basis. Account details are kept while the account is active.
You can turn off location sharing in your device settings. The app will still work, but your carrier will not be able to track the load and some features that depend on your position will not function.
You can turn off notifications from the driver app in your phone’s notification settings. If you use the driver portal on the web, you can choose which notifications you receive under Settings, Notifications.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Because your records belong to a trip your carrier and a broker were party to, deletion may be limited where a record is needed for an ongoing dispute or a legal obligation. We will tell you if that applies.
Data is encrypted in transit. Access is scoped per organisation and per role, so a signed-in account can only reach the records it is entitled to.
The platform is for commercial freight operators and is not directed at anyone under 18.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change affects you, tell you in the app.
